Company Research: Helpful Sites
For information and reports on companies, we have some links you can use. Some are free and some of them charge for their information.
Before you PAY for information…..
Keep in mind that there is a LOT of information available for FREE on the Internet. This is especially true if you are researching a company that is traded on one of the stock exchanges.
Try the following:
- Search for the company at www.google.com
- If the company has its own web site, go there. Most of the large companies (and, lots of smaller ones) have web sites. If the company has its own site, chances are it will show up in the Google search.
- Again, if the company is publicly traded, you can find out a lot about a company by checking CNBC or MSN Money. Both sites can provide current information on many companies and industries.
- There are also a lot of resources available that might help on the Investment Research Center page of our affiliate site e4everything.com.
Once you have a target company…..
Keep in mind that some of the sites that charge for information MAY also provide some information that is FREE. You can use the free information to decide where to focus and IF you want to pay for their more complete information or reports.
